Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, hardworking and enthusiastic teacher to join our fantastic team here at Anton.

 

This is a great opportunity to develop as a practitioner, with possible development towards leadership for the right candidate. We are also happy to welcome applications from NQTs and will put in a robust programme of induction to ensure the best possible start in your teaching career.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and enabling pupils to achieve their best.

Hours of Work: 25 hours per week, 8.30am – 3.00pm term time only Monday – Friday LSA

Plus 5 hours per week, 12.15- 1.15pm Monday to Friday MDSA

Job/Person Summary

Learning Support Assistant plus Lunchtime Supervision. Fixed Term until 31/08/2023. Possible permanent position for the right candidate.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and caring LSA to join Anton Junior’s team of staff. This vacancy is a full time role and will predominantly involve supporting children’s’ learning as well as general class duties and lunchtime supervision. The successful candidate will work flexibly and creatively, with the class teacher, to ensure that pupils develop emotionally and socially whilst effectively accessing curriculum.

The post requires the successful applicant to also work with other members of staff, support staff, SENDCo, outside agencies and parents and carers to promote learning. Applicants should therefore have excellent written and oral communication skills and have a proven record of working effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be offered the appropriate support and training for the role.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

· Positivity, flexibility and resilience

· Enthusiastic and highly motivated

· A warm, friendly and consistently clear approach to learning and behaviour management

· Ability to maintain a high level of support to enable access to the curriculum

· Helps children develop social skills and appropriate interactions with their peers

· Ability to stay calm under pressure

· Can work closely with the class teacher, who will give guidance on the nature and extent of the support and supervision

· Is able to work independently and show initiative

· Has good time management and organisational skills

· Is able to keep succinct records of involvement

· At least GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English

· An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities.

Job/Person Summary

Anton Junior School is looking for a proactive and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in September 2022.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our pupils and to continuously raising standards across the school, for all children. You will be working with friendly and enthusiastic children who have a thirst for exciting, new learning alongside a supportive Senior Leadership Team who have high expectations and aspirations for both children and staff.

The role will involve:

• Teaching whole classes in order to release teachers for CPD, PPA or Leadership/Management time

• Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils

• Directing the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning

• Delivering interventions to key groups of children, including those with SEND or in receipt of Pupil Premium funding

 

The successful candidate will:

 

• Support children’s learning in both the classroom and outside through modelling, initiating discussion and skilful questioning

• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with children and adults

• Use their initiative to support both child-initiated and adult-led learning

• Be positive, calm and caring and be able to sensitively support children with a range of needs

• Understand how developing pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion impact achievement

• Employ a range of positive behaviour management strategies

• Be enthusiastic, creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas

• Understand confidentiality and safeguarding and hold this in the highest regard

• Possess a relevant NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent or working towards the qualification

• Have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent).
