Salary Details: Grade D1-D5 scale  starting salary : £17,316.84

Hours of Work: 25  hrs per week

Anticipated working hours between 7 am– 9am and 3.00pm -6.00pm (split shift)

Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working, practical, and flexible Site Manager to join our team.   

Anton Junior is a warm and welcoming school, committed to laying the foundations for lifelong learning. 

The role is for 25  hours per week and there may be some flexibility on timings.  This will be a 52-week contract with holidays taken during the school holidays. 

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: - 

  • A flexible, positive, practical and efficient approach
  • An ability to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and contributing to the needs of the children and the whole school team.
  • Have good basic DIY skills including plumbing, painting and carpentry. 
  • Good communication skills

 

Main responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient running of the school.
  • Being responsible for site security including the daily opening and closing of the school, occasionally working outside normal hours for school events, including out of hours/ emergency call outs.
  • Completing maintenance tasks to a good standard.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and responsible for the management of the cleaning contractors, as there is a cleaning element to the role.
  • Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance, and redecoration.
  • Overseeing the work of external contractors, ensuring standards are maintained, with health and safety being always paramount.
  • Carrying out H&S inspections, assessments and compliance checks.
  • Fire safety, COSHH, Legionella, Risk Assessments practice experience. (training provided)
  • Able to keep records of tests and checks as required, using paper, email and online systems

Hours of Work: 26.40 hrs LSA and 5 hrs MDSA

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and caring LSA to join Anton Junior’s team of staff.

This vacancy can be full or part time, and will involve supporting the delivery of learning in classes, interventions for our SEN pupils and mentoring for our vulnerable pupils.

The successful candidate will work flexibly and creatively with the class teachers and SEN team, to ensure that pupils develop emotionally and socially, whilst effectively accessing curriculum.  

The successful candidate will be offered the appropriate induction, support and training for the role as well as a robust and full programme of ongoing CPD.  There is also the potential for career development should that be of interest.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Ability to maintain a high level of support to enable access to the curriculum

  • Is able to keep succinct records of involvement
  • At least GCSE passes in Maths and English
